The parishioners of Mary, Queen of the Universe Church gathered in the church to welcome the New Year 2023 seeking God’s assistance.
Fr Jayarpakash DSouza, the Parish Priest, led the people in an hour-long adoration that began at 7.00 pm. The Eucharistic celebration began at 8.00 pm. Fr Anil Fernandes, the Director of Canara Communication Centre presided over the Eucharist and preached the Word of God. The Catholic Sabha took arranged the liturgy of the day. The new Parish Pastoral Council was inaugurated towards the end of the mass. The Vice President and the Secretary and the members of the Parish Pastoral Council took an oath.
The new website of the parish www.ranipurachurch.in was inaugurated. Roshan Ferrao, the body builder, was felicitated on his achievement of Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship in New Zealand.
The ICYM conducted in the campus an entertainment programme after the mass. They conducted housie housie game.
