Disposable plastic is one of the biggest menaces today that destroys environment. People who gather for different functions are served food with disposable plates and cups and consequently our activities and celebrations add to environmental pollution. To fight against this menace, the environment commission of Ranipura church, under the leadership of Mr Arun Monteiro took a new initiative to put an end to the use of disposable items. Mr Maxim – Linet DSouza of Infant Mary Ward, Ranipura donated 150 steel plates and cups to be made available to various functions, meetings and celebrations in the parish as well as different wards. This initiative will go a long way in protecting the environment by avoiding the use of plastic.
