The feast of the birth of Mary, the Mother of God, is an endearing event to the people of Ranipura church. The people in gathered in a large number to celebrate this feast on September 8. The celebration was preceded by the novena, started on August 30. The novena was conducted in the evenings at 5.30 pm on weekdays, at 5 pm on Saturday, and at 7.30 am along with the Eucharistic celebration. Parishioners attended the novena with a great enthusiasm, brought flowers and offered it to Mary.
On 8 September, people gathered in Rishivana at 7.30 am. The new corn was blessed, and infant Mary was honoured. Thereafter, people proceeded to the church in procession. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Liguori Crasta, OCD. Fr Jeevan Tauro broke the Word of God. People participated actively in the liturgy conducted by the CLC. The YCS lucky dip draw was conducted after the mass. Prizes of the parish level sport events conducted by the CLC were distributed. The new corn was distributed to the people towards the end of the mass. distributing sugar cane in the church is a part of the celebration of Moti Porob. As the celebration in the church concluded, the people proceeded homewards with the sugar cane.
