Maundy Thursday is the day the Catholic Church commemorates the inauguration of the sacrament of the Eucharist. Fr Santhosh Rodrigues of the Pastoral Institute presided over the celebration of the Eucharist, which began at 6 p.m. The extraordinary minsters of the Eucharist conducted the liturgy of the day. In the homily, Fr Santhosh Rodrigues highlighted the importance of the sacrament of the Eucharist in our lives. Fr Jayaprakash DSouza conducted the rite of washing the feet. Some elders from the Parish Pastoral Council were chosen for this rite. After the mass, Fr Santhosh Rodrigues led the people in adoration of the Eucharist on the altar of repose.
