The YCS unit of Mary Queen of the Universe Church, Ranipura, organized a joyful Children’s Day celebration on 24th November in the church hall, following the Children’s Mass.
The program was presided over by Fr Jayprakash Dsouza, who shared an inspiring message about the importance of Children’s Day.
The program began with a prayer song by the YCS members. Nishal Dsouza efficiently anchored the event, with Iral DSouza welcomed the gathering and Ashna Ferrao extended the vote of thanks.
The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances by altar servers, YCS members, and Catechism Teachers, who showcased their talents and creativity.
A special highlight of the event was the engaging Bible Housie-Housie conducted by Deacon Avith Pais, which brought excitement and a sense of community among the attendees.
As part of the Children’s Day celebrations, various fun games were held on 17th November, and prizes for the winners were distributed and the Prize distribution ceremony was done by Shifani Dsouza during the program.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr Arun Monteiro, Vice President, and Mrs Wilma Dsouza, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council.
The event concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of sweets and ice cream, filling the hall with joy and laughter.
The Children’s Day celebration at Mary Queen of the Universe Church was a memorable and uplifting occasion, made possible by the efforts of the YCS unit and the wholehearted participation of the parish community.
