On Sunday, October 27, 2024, Mary, Queen of the Universe Church in Ranipura celebrated Altar Servers Day during the Children’s Mass at 9:45 am. Rev. Fr. Jayprakash D’Souza, the Parish Priest and Director of Altar Servers, celebrated the Mass and officiated the ceremony for the reception of new Altar Servers.
A highlight of the day was the induction of 11 new members into the Altar Servers community, strengthening the Church’s dedicated group of young servers. Following the Mass, a short program including some games and an engaging input session was organized. A total of 43 Altar Servers participated, making it a memorable and meaningful celebration.
The Altar Servers were accompanied by animators Dn Avith Pais, Sr Mable D’Mello, and Mrs Mable D’Souza. The Young Christian Students (YCS) of the Ranipura unit actively volunteered, helping to organize games and other activities, bringing joy and togetherness to the event. The program concluded with refreshments, allowing the Altar Servers to enjoy a moment of fellowship.
