On Sunday, October 27th, Church Ward 1 celebrated its annual ward feast at the residence of Anil Shanti. The event began at 6 PM with a prayer service conducted by the ward members in honour of Mother Mary.
The ward Gurkar warmly welcomed the dignitaries, including Rev. Fr Jayaprakash DSouza, Mr Arun Monteiro (Parish Council Vice President), Dn Avit Pais, Mr Nevil DSouza (Youth Association President), and S. Usha, the Superior of the Convent. Rev. Fr Jayaprakash DSouza congratulated the ward and expressed his appreciation for the active participation of its members in various church events.
Mrs Nathalia DSouza, the Ward Secretary, presented the annual report, and Mrs Cynthia extended heartfelt thanks to the donors for their generous contributions. Tokens of appreciation were also given to the guests.
Ms Renita Figredo compered the programme. The event was filled with joy and entertainment, featuring various dances, skits, and singing performances by the ward members, and also various engaging games for the attendees. Rev. Fr Jayaprakash DSouza distributed gifts to the winners, and a delicious dinner was served afterward.
The celebration concluded with a lively game of housie housie, followed by a vibrant baila dance, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.
