Mangaluru, March 22, 2026 — The Bible Commission of Mary, Queen of the Universe Church, Ranipura, in collaboration with the Bible Commission of Mangalore Diocese and the Bible Commission of St Juze Vas Deanery, Permannur, successfully organized a Bible study series on the Gospel of John.
The sessions were held every Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ranipura Church, beginning on February 15 and concluding on March 22. This marked the fourth instalment in the ongoing scripture study program in St Juze Vas Deanery, following earlier sessions on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke.
A total of 180 participants from Ranipura parish and neighbouring parishes attended the classes, which were conducted by Rev. Dr. Vincent Sequeira. The sessions were engaging and insightful, offering a deeper understanding of the Gospel of John and its theological significance.
The program concluded with a valedictory ceremony on March 22, attended by Fr Cyprian Pinto, Fr Vincent Sequeira, Fr John D’Souza, and Fr Jayaprakash D’Souza. Certificates were distributed to participants, and Rev. Dr. Vincent Sequeira was felicitated on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
The response from participants was enthusiastic and the study series continues to strengthen biblical knowledge and spiritual formation within the community.
