As we enter into the year 2023, Ranipura parish has a new pastoral council to lead the faithful with pastoral care. The members of the pastoral council were elected in different wards of the parish in November and December. The new Parish Pastoral Council came into effect as the members took an oath towards the end of the New Year Eve Mass.
Mr Arun Monteiro took charge as the Vice President of parish. Mrs Wilma DSouza took charge as the Secretary. Along with them Mr Nelson DSouza, Mrs Matilda Viegas, Mr Victor DSouza and Mr Godwin DSouza took an oath as the members of the Parish Pastoral Council.
The new parish council has altogether 72 members, of whom 18 are gurkars, 34 representatives from 18 wards, 6 nominated members, 4 honorary members and representatives from different associations.
