The parishioners of Ranipura Church celebrated ‘Kompricho Aitar’ (Confraternity Sunday) on February 5, 2023. The ceremony began at 3.45 pm with the procession of the Blessed Eucharist from St Antony Prayer Hall, Ranipura Ulia to Ranipura Church, led by Fr Vincent Sequeira of Mangala Jyothi. Around 800 parishioners, accompanied by three bands and five choir groups, joined the procession devotionally.
The procession was followed by a solemn eucharistic celebration at 5.30 pm, presided over by Fr Vincent Sequeira. Breaking the Word of God, he spoke on the theme “Let us toil to build a parish filled with a family spirit”. Fr Jayaprakash DSouza, the Parish Priest, and Fr Wilfred Rodrigues, OCD, of Ryshivana concelebrated in the celebration. The Parish Pastoral Council conducted the liturgy of the Eucharist. The whole ceremony was organized systematically, and in a meaningful manner.
